Naturally, this description is not intended to minimize the physical shock. I headed up the fire escape ladder to escape the floodwaters and met a group of exiles picking up the steps at the corner.

I can't remember the expressions on their faces, except that there was no fear or hope, as if they were lost, staring at me with their mouths open.

I took my 35mm focal length lens and focused on the face of the middle-aged man closest to me and took a group portrait of them.

I don't know why they are sitting here, I don't know where their self-congratulation stems from. They didn't care about what was washed up in front of them, they just exchanged pleasantries.
